AI in Crisis Diplomacy

This project investigates the role of artificial intelligence (AI), particularly machine learning (ML) tools, in enhancing diplomatic efforts during international crises. By integrating AI-driven solutions into the fields of real-time negotiation and early-warning systems, the project seeks to understand and optimize how technology can support decision-makers in high-stakes, time-sensitive scenarios. Objectives: Analyze existing AI tools and models applicable to diplomatic negotiation and crisis management. Develop machine learning frameworks to support real-time diplomatic dialogue and scenario simulation. Explore AI-assisted early-warning systems that can predict potential conflict escalation. Examine ethical, legal, and practical challenges in deploying AI in diplomatic contexts. Methodology: The research combines qualitative and quantitative approaches, including case studies of past international crises, simulations of negotiation scenarios, and testing of ML models for conflict detection and forecasting.
