AI in Crisis Diplomacy

Project Overview

This project investigates the role of artificial intelligence (AI), particularly machine learning (ML) tools, in enhancing diplomatic efforts during international crises. By integrating AI-driven solutions into the fields of real-time negotiation and early-warning systems, the project seeks to understand and optimize how technology can support decision-makers in high-stakes, time-sensitive scenarios. Objectives: Analyze existing AI tools and models applicable to diplomatic negotiation and crisis management. Develop machine learning frameworks to support real-time diplomatic dialogue and scenario simulation. Explore AI-assisted early-warning systems that can predict potential conflict escalation. Examine ethical, legal, and practical challenges in deploying AI in diplomatic contexts. Methodology: The research combines qualitative and quantitative approaches, including case studies of past international crises, simulations of negotiation scenarios, and testing of ML models for conflict detection and forecasting. The project also involves stakeholder interviews with diplomats, technologists, and conflict resolution experts. Expected Outcomes: A prototype
